Concord, MA, January 28, 2025 –Newbury Court is proud to participate in the Concord250 Trees Project, a significant community effort to commemorate the 250th Battle of Concord and Lexington, while planning for the town’s future.
In November 2024, Newbury Court became one of the first participants in this special project. Concord Public Works planted nine trees, a mix of oak and maple, along Newbury Court’s campus on Old Road to Nine Acre Corner. These trees line a sidewalk connecting to Emerson Hospital and can be enjoyed by all who walk, bike, or drive past.
“We’re deeply grateful to Newbury Court for their participation,” said Christa Collins, a member of the Concord250 Permanent Memorial Subcommittee. “The Trees Project is a both a living monument and a commitment to future generations.”
“Newbury Court is excited to be part of Concord’s historic celebration in this way,” said Chris Sintros, CEO of Newbury Court. “Planting these trees is an opportunity for everyone to look forward at the future with great optimism.”
